Through my medical practice, I have gained a profound understanding of human nature and the complexities of life, which enriches my writing with authenticity and depth. As an author, I am driven by a passion to explore untold narratives and ignite the imagination of readers. And as an assistant director, I have honed my ability to craft compelling narratives and create visually captivating experiences. These experiences have collectively shaped my approach to storytelling, allowing me to weave together elements of emotion, intellect, and cinematic flair to create engaging works that resonate with a wide audience.

2. What inspired you to become a writer? Were there any specific authors or books that influenced your decision?

> Becoming a writer was a natural extension of my love for literature and my desire to connect with people on a deeper level. Throughout my medical education and practice, I witnessed the power of storytelling in fostering empathy and understanding. This realization, coupled with my passion for books, inspired me to embark on my own writing journey. There have been several authors and books that have significantly influenced my decision to become a writer. From the evocative prose of Atul Gawande's "Being Mortal" to the imaginative world-building of J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series, these authors and their works showcased the transformative power of words. Their ability to transport readers to different realms, evoke emotions, and provoke introspection left an indelible mark on me, fueling my own creative aspirations.

3. Your book, Wonder Womaniya, has received critical acclaim. Can you share with us the inspiration behind this particular work and what message you hoped to convey?

> Wonder Womaniya was born out of a desire to illuminate the extraordinary tale of a woman who has defied societal norms and emerged as trailblazer in her own right. As a doctor, I have encountered countless inspiring women in my medical practice, each with their unique stories of resilience and strength. These encounters, combined with my passion for storytelling, compelled me to create Wonder Womaniya. The book serves as a celebration of the indomitable spirit and unwavering determination of a modern goddess. Through its pages, I aimed to shed light on her remarkable journey, highlighting her triumph, challenge, and the transformative impact she has made on society. It is inspired by true events. Wonder Womaniya is a testament to the power of women and serves as a clarion call for readers to recognize their own inner strength and embrace the superhero within.

4. How do you approach the process of writing? Do you follow a specific routine or have any particular rituals?

> My approach to writing combines discipline and flexibility. While I don't adhere to a rigid routine, I recognize the importance of setting aside dedicated time for my craft. As a doctor and assistant director, my schedule can be demanding, but I strive to carve out regular intervals to immerse myself in the world of writing. When it comes to rituals, I find that creating the right environment is crucial. Before diving into my writing, I often engage in activities that stimulate creativity and focus, such as reading thought-provoking literature or listening to inspiring music. These rituals help set the stage for a productive writing session and allow me to tap into a deep well of imagination and inspiration.

5. What challenges have you faced as a writer, and how have you overcome them?

> As a writer with a multifaceted career, I have faced unique challenges along my journey. One of the most significant hurdles has been striking a balance between my demanding medical career, my responsibilities, and my writing pursuits. Finding time to dedicate to writing amidst a busy schedule has required careful planning and prioritization. To overcome this challenge, I have learned to seize pockets of time, whether it's early mornings, late nights, or weekends, to immerse myself in the creative process. Embracing discipline and making writing a non-negotiable part of my routine has been instrumental in overcoming this obstacle. Another challenge I have encountered is the occasional self-doubt that creeps into the creative process. Like any writer, I have experienced moments of uncertainty, questioning the quality and relevance of my work. To counteract this, I have developed a support system of fellow writers, trusted colleagues, and friends who provide constructive feedback and encouragement. Their belief in my abilities and their insightful critiques have helped me regain confidence and push through moments of doubt. Additionally, navigating the publishing industry and gaining visibility as an author can be challenging. In response, I have actively sought opportunities to network, attend writing conferences, and engage with literary communities. Building connections and seeking mentorship from established authors and industry professionals has provided invaluable guidance and opened doors to publishing opportunities. Ultimately, embracing these challenges as opportunities for growth and self-improvement has been vital to my journey as a writer. Each obstacle I have faced has pushed me to become more resilient, more determined, and more committed to honing my craft.

6. Are there any recurring themes or subjects that you find yourself drawn to in your writing? If so, what are they and why do they resonate with you?

> In my writing, I find myself drawn to recurring themes and subjects that explore the depths of the human experience. One such theme is resilience. As a doctor, I have witnessed the incredible resilience of individuals facing adversity, and I am fascinated by the strength of the human spirit to overcome challenges and emerge stronger. By delving into this theme, I hope to inspire readers to tap into their own inner resilience and discover their capacity to thrive in the face of hardship. Identity is another subject that resonates deeply with me. As a doctor, author, and assistant director, I wear multiple hats and navigate diverse roles and responsibilities. Exploring the complexities of identity in my writing allows me to delve into the nuances of self-discovery, cultural influences, and the search for authenticity. By delving into these themes, I aim to invite readers to reflect on their own identities and embrace the beauty of self-acceptance.

7. How do you handle writer's block or periods of creative stagnation? Are there any strategies or techniques that have worked well for you in overcoming these obstacles?

> Writer's block and creative stagnation are challenges that every writer encounters, myself included. To overcome these obstacles, I employ several strategies that have proven effective. One technique is to change my physical or mental environment. Taking a break from writing and engaging in activities such as going for a walk, practicing mindfulness, or engaging in a different creative outlet can help refresh my mind and reignite my creativity. Another strategy is to engage in free writing or stream-of-consciousness writing. By allowing my thoughts to flow without judgment or expectation, I can bypass the inner critic and tap into a more spontaneous and uninhibited creative space. This often leads to surprising breakthroughs and renewed inspiration. Seeking inspiration from different sources is also essential. Reading books, watching films, attending art exhibitions, or immersing myself in nature can spark new ideas and perspectives. By exposing myself to diverse stimuli, I can fuel my creative fire and break free from creative stagnation. In addition, seeking support from fellow writers and participating in writing communities has been invaluable in overcoming writer's block. Sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and receiving constructive feedback from like-minded individuals can provide fresh insights and reignite my creative spark. Engaging in discussions and collaborating with others often leads to new perspectives and innovative approaches to storytelling. Moreover, I remind myself that writer's block and creative stagnation are natural parts of the creative process. Rather than becoming discouraged, I view these periods as opportunities for growth and self-reflection. I use the time to explore new interests, expand my knowledge, and delve into research relevant to my writing. Often, these explorations open up new avenues of inspiration and help me approach my writing from fresh angles. Ultimately, the key to overcoming writer's block and creative stagnation lies in maintaining a resilient mindset and embracing the inherent ebb and flow of creativity. By exploring different techniques, seeking support, and remaining open to new experiences, I have discovered effective strategies to break through creative barriers and continue to evolve as a writer.
